STAKEHOLDER VALIDATION WORKSHOP ON CLIMATE ADAPTATION AND RESILIENCE IN ZAMBIA

Discussions focused on the policy, institutional and regulatory environment for adaptation and resilience; governance and coordination; sectoral interventions; climate finance and investment flows; the role of financial and private sector actors; and community level experiences and perspectives.

On 22nd September 2026, the Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR), in partnership with the Africa Climate Foundation (ACF), convened a Stakeholder Validation Workshop for the Adaptation and Resilience Investment Platform (ARIP): Climate Adaptation and Resilience Landscape Assessment. The assessment examines Zambia’s climate adaptation and resilience landscape, with a particular focus on progress in implementing the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) and other adaptation and resilience interventions. The workshop brought together stakeholders from Government, development partners, the private sector, financial institutions, civil society, research institutions and other key actors to engage with the findings and recommendations emerging from the assessment. Discussions focused on the policy, institutional and regulatory environment for adaptation and resilience; governance and coordination; sectoral interventions; climate finance and investment flows; the role of financial and private sector actors; and community level experiences and perspectives. ZIPAR remains committed to generating evidence that supports informed policy dialogue and strengthens Zambia’s response to climate change.
