Jeff Mwamba is a Research Assistant at the Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR), where he contributes to applied research and policy analysis on Zambia’s development challenges. His work focuses on research, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and project-related activities within the Non-Market Economy and Human Development portfolio. He supports research that generates evidence to inform policy and contribute to Zambia’s development agenda.
At ZIPAR, Jeff contributes to research through data collection, transcription of key informant interviews, data cleaning, coding, and organisation. He also helps prepare Parliamentary Ad Hoc responses, background briefs, policy notes, and short analytical summaries, while contributing to newspaper commentaries, opinion pieces, blog posts, and speeches for project launches. He also supports budget analysis, research meetings, stakeholder consultations and workshops, literature reviews, presentation preparation, and other research-related activities.
Jeff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a minor in Political Science from the University of Zambia. His research interests include economic and development policy, public policy analysis, socioeconomic development, and the intersection between economics and political institutions. He is particularly interested in research that contributes to evidence-based policymaking and a better understanding of Zambia’s development challenges.
