ZIPAR is Zambia's leading economic research institutes and enjoys a strong reputation in the country and beyond on matters of economic policy. Operational since 2009, the Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research ZIPAR was established by the Zambian Government with the support of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF).

ZIPAR is a think tank with a mandate to conduct research and analysis primarily, but not exclusively, for policy formulation, implementation and monitoring. The Institute conducts research and policy analysis and provides evidence-based policy advice to Zambia’s public and private sectors, including civil society and other stakeholders.

ZIPAR also promotes policy dialogue between the Government and a wide range of stakeholders, facilitating an inclusive process in the planning and management of economic affairs.
