The Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research (ZIPAR) is a semi-autonomous Think-Tank whose mandate is to conduct research and analysis in the area of policy formulation, implementation and monitoring. The Institute provides evidence-based policy advice to the Government, the private sector, civil society and other stakeholders in Zambia. It also promotes policy dialogue between Government and a wide range of stakeholders, facilitating an inclusive process in the planning and management of economic affairs. ZIPAR also promotes economic literacy, encouraging increased stakeholder participation in national policy dialogue and debate on economic topics of wide public interest.
ZIPAR has made commitments to economic development through the implementation of tailor-made programmes relevant to Zambia’s economic policy formulation and management. The Institute’s activities will, over the medium to long-term, contribute to addressing Zambia’s challenges of poor economic management, thereby enhancing economic policy processes. In this way ZIPAR will contribute to broader efforts aimed at addressing the country’s human development challenges and ultimately fostering sustainable economic development.
